Students can earn an Associate’s Degree in nursing at Keiser. Nursing is one of the most in-demand professions today. Graduates have little trouble finding employment at a livable wage in an exciting field. Keiser nursing graduates are employed in many nursing specialties and in a variety of clinical settings.

Keiser’s Associate Degree nursing program gives the student clinically focused education that prepares him or her to communicate effectively in written and spoken form, utilize critical thinking for problem solving, collaborate with other health care team members and with patients, and practice the nursing process utilizing skills of observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Associate Degree nursing graduates can take the NCLEX exam and be licensed as Registered Nurses, and are qualified for entry level nursing positions.

Faculty & Facilities

Because Keiser University focuses so heavily on individualized attention, the faculty members must be onboard with the agenda. The student-to-instructor ratio is intentionally low to allow for more one-on-one time. Students also attend only one class at a time for a month each, so they get the opportunity to really know their instructors.

Classroom instruction includes the use of equipment that will typically be found out in the workplace. West Palm Beach is the oldest incorporated municipality in South Florida. The city of over 105,000 has a very rich history. Before Miami was even founded, West Palm Beach was a bustling cultural destination.

The city was originally intended to be a place to house the servants of the well-to-do residents of Palm Beach Island. But West Palm took on its own identity and personality and began to thrive on its own. There is a rich heritage in West Palm Beach and many families have been residents for generations.

After falling into some decline during the 60s and 70s due to crime and racial tensions, the city began to bounce back in the 1980s as visitors and new residents began to gain a renewed appreciation for the city’s historic areas.

The landscape is now dotted with impressive high-rise buildings like Trump Plaza. The downtown area is now a destination for entertainment and shopping with City Place and Clematis Street offering plenty of activity for those who enjoy the night life.

West Palm Beach is currently experience another era of growth. New building has prompted a constantly evolving skyline.
