 Health Services Administration- Associate of Science Degree

The Associate Degree in Health Services Administration (HSA) at Florida Career College was created to provide the student with a broad overview of the administrative aspects of healthcare. This degree-program provides students with general education courses as well as program specific  work in areas including: medical terminology, information technology and medical records, billing and insurance forms.

After completing the curriculum students may be familiarized with health industry laws, regulation, policies, procedures and regulatory bodies that govern the healthcare professions. Courses also provide the students with the opportunity to demonstrate effective communication with patients, customer relations, as well administrative skills within the specific healthcare organization.

Medical Assistant Technician- Diploma

Students within this program will be introduced to basic medical terminology, anatomy, human diseases, and pharmacology.  Students also have the opportunity to get a grasp on medical office procedures and clinical medical assisting skills. Front office procedures that students may learn include:

  • handling patient accounts and records
  • word processing
  • scheduling of patients.

Back office procedures include

  • Taking patient histories

Medical Front Office and Billing- Diploma
